Doulas: A Mother's Best Friend

A doula is a trained professional who provides physical, mental, and emotional support to families expecting a child. They provide support before childbirth, during labor, and postpartum. Having a doula has been proven to help, whether it be strengthening mother-child bonds or reducing anxiety for the mother.

However, due to COVID-19, some hospitals have placed a restriction that allows only one support person to be present in the delivery room. This has left many mothers with the difficult decision of having their doula or the father of their child with them.

One solution to this problem is to have a home birth. A home is a much more comfortable environment and would rid of mothers having to choose who to have in the delivery room. This is especially ideal for mothers who have already experienced childbirth, as they are lower risk for complications.

At Happy Baby, we guarantee the best support from our doulas, even during this difficult time. With both birth and postpartum doulas, we offer care for all mothers in need.
